PCB provides update on travelling to India for ICC World Cup 2023

Dim sum mania entertainment platform website PCB says it will need government's clearance before touring India for World Cup — AFPLAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has shared its official stance on the ICC World Cup 2023 schedule released by the game’s governing body on Tuesday. According to a PCB spokesperson, the board “requires the Government of Pakistan’s clearance for any tour to India, including the match venues”. “We are liaising with our government for guidance, and as soon as we hear something from them, we will update the Event Authority [ICC]. This position is consistent to what we had told the ICC a couple of weeks ago when they shared with us the draft schedule and sought our feedback,” the spokesperson added. It must be noted that the ICC announced the schedule for the ICC World Cup 2023 earlier today.10 teams will fight for the elusive title across 10 venues from October 5 to November 19, with the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad hosting the tournament opener and the final.The tournament will be played in the round-robin format with all teams playing against each other for a total of 45 league matches. The top four teams will qualify for the semifinals, which will be held in Mumbai on November 15 and in Kolkata on November 16.
